Beyond the Critical Path: Building Resilient Pharma Project Plans

By Colin Young February 20, 2026

I love the smell of a fresh Gantt chart in the morning. It’s the only time the project is actually on schedule.

In most industries, a “red” cell on a spreadsheet means a meeting. In Pharma project management, a red cell usually means: -> A deviation that needs a 40-page investigation. -> A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) that is currently “somewhere over the Atlantic.” -> A stakeholder who just realized they need a different port size on the single-use bag.

At GPharma Solutions, we’ve learned that a project plan in this sector is less of a “map” and more of a decision framework. -One that we need to flex when The Regulatory Auditor Arrives.

Our secret? We don’t just plan for the “Critical Path.” We plan for the “Likely Chaos.”
